With my spring 2024 colorway I wanted to brighten things up a bit. I feel the burnt orange is a stand out color but also not to crazy. For the graphic, I’ve been into making more hands on stuff, so I made a lino print of the eyes, print ed it a few times to get a texture until I was happy with it, and then scanned it in and used that. For the typeface and etnies logo I tried to recreate the same texture digitally. I’m really hyped on how these ones turned out!

For me, the Marana represents strength; so for this shoe I wanted to pay tribute to the strongest person I know: My dad. He has inspired me more than anyone. Where he’s from to where he has made it….it is like a story from a movie. His story always gave me the strength to believe that no matter where you come from you can achieve anything you want if you believe in it enough. So, this one goes to Hamid Lachhab. My hero!

The colours chosen for the slip were inspired by The Ben Raemers Foundation, green being the colour of the of the official mental health ribbon. The smile art on the heel is taken from one of Bens tattoos to represent the happiness and joy Ben gave to everyone he crossed paths with.

I love the Michelin outsole and white/gum is one of my favorite colorways. If you look at the insole you’ll see my dog Echo, drawn by my good friend Damian who does traditional tattoo work. Really excited for these to come out!
