etnies Fall 23 MTB Collection

A portion of the proceeds from our products support the Forest Garden Approach. The Forest Garden Approach starts with farm ers planting thousands of trees that restore soil and helps grow a large variety of food to eat and sell. The Forest Gardens are currently being created in countries inEast andWest Africa and are part of the Great Green Wall project, spearheaded by the African Union to halt the expansion of the Sahara desert by planting a barrier of trees running 4,815 miles along its southern edge.

Not only does each Forest Garden capture carbon and increase biodiversity, but it also supports ending hunger and poverty. etnies consumers and Trees for the Future are working together to grow a more sustainable system to feed the world, build local econo mies and better our planet. Since partnering with Trees For The Future, etnies has been able to plant over 2 million trees. None of this would have been possible without your support! But why stop there?

HOW IT WORKS Each purchase from the etnies x TFTF collection is so much more than a shoe. Not only does each pair plant a tree it also contributes to the following TFTF initiatives: PROTECTING THE PLANET The Farmer’s Garden Approach restores degraded land, captures carbon, improves biodiversity and prevents future unsustainable land use practices. ENDING HUNGER The average forest garden is home to dozens of food crops, producing access to diverse, nutrient-rich meals year-round. ENDING POVERTY Not only are you supporting farmers’ crops of producing fruits and veggies, but farmers also start businesses selling seeds and seedlings, honey, syrup, soap, timber and more. EMPOWERINGWOMEN Farmer Groups in TFTF’s program are required to be composed of 30% women. Most exceed that benchmark, with many led by or composed entirely of women farmers.

THE ETNIES X TREES FOR THE FUTURE LINE EXISTS, SO WE CAN MAKE A MEANINGFUL IMPACT IN COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO LIVE MORE SUSTAINABLY.
