HOW DID IT START?

etnies founder and CEO Pierre Andre Senizergues has always been an advocate for change, with a heartfelt passion for the environment, and a mission to make etnies products the most durable and comfortable, while limiting our impact on the earth. It began with the concept of reducing etnies environmental footprint through the use of solar power, recycling efforts, and eco friendly technologies in our organization, in our journey towards becoming a carbon neutral company. etnies then designed and created styles like the Jameson 2 Eco using recycled, eco friendly, and vegan materials to help provide a choice for change within our offerings and products. The etnies Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree project was launched in 2011 in Costa Rica, with 35,000 trees planted within the first year. Since that time we have planted over 1.8 million trees, across three continents, with our partners Trees for the Future.
