HEY JULIAN HOW ARE YOU MAN? WHAT’S NEW? I’m doing wonderful man, thank you. Everything is good, it’s a new year. I’ve been focusing a lot on physical therapy to get strong after this ankle surgery and just starting to skate again so that’s got me stoked. Just doing my best to stay busy by surrounding myself with great friends, riding my bike, and listening to records. I enjoy cooking and baking stuff, been puzzling recently too, all types of fun stuff. A LOT HAS CHANGED FOR YOU IN YOUR SKATE CAREER OVER THE PAST YEAR. WHAT’S THAT BEEN LIKE? I’ll be honest, I’m still in shock. I truly can’t believe this and I’m not sure how it all happened. I feel very lucky, supported, and loved by two core badass skateboard brands. Having an opportunity like this at this point in my careerwas not expected by any means. Just stoking to ride for Emerica. and Deathwish, truly an honor. WHAT’S YOUR HOMETOWN PARK? AND WHAT’S IT LIKE TO THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW? Eldorado skatepark. I think most people hate it, it’s very lumpy and doesn’t have the best flow to it . In my eyes though it’s different. It’s special to me because that’s where I learned how to skate , so many good memories there. I dig it, but I can understand why people don’t haha. TELL US ABOUT THIS NEW EMERICA. COLORWAY YOU GOT COMING OUT IN HOLIDAY. Well, I really wanted it to have an OG Emerica feel, I really loved that style growing up. So we colored up The Gamma in all black suede, gold logo hits, and a black/gum POUR-IN G6 outsole. I love that cupsole it’s amazing for jumping and just lasts a long time. I hope people enjoy them, I love how they turned out. WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE SKATERS? PAST OR PRESENT? That’s such a hard question because I’ll leave so many people out, but I’ve always admired Arto Saari, such a ruler. I also I want to say how much I love Spanky, he’s so inspiring to me always and I love his work ethic. He was an inspiration for me to get sober as well. CURRENT SETUP?
